Jolly Lindgren’s 1948 map of Death Valley National Park

Jolly Lindgren created this “humorous” map of Death Valley National Park in 1948. I love some of the labels, “Come in and warm up,” “Hells Gate – You Ain’t Kiddin,” Racetrack Road labeled as “This is a Lousy Road.”

A fun Map, nice to see a look at Death Valley without all the closed off China Lake lands marked off.
