NEWSWEEK: Feature Story about the Mojave Desert & Death Valley Jim

Since October of last year, I have spent several days around the Mojave with Alexander Nazaryan, a Senior Journalist at Newsweek.  Alexander came to me with an idea for a piece that would showcase the rich history, and challenges facing the desert. I was happy to oblige, and help tell that story. That story became the telling of my story as well, in all of its gory detail. The article is beautifully written, and takes a cold hard look at the challenges that the desert is currently facing. I don’t want to say much more, as the article speaks for itself.

Look for it in the March 25th edition of Newsweek. It is also available on the Newsweek website, for your reading pleasure.

Yesssssss. I’ll be over in your neck of the desert on Full moon April 2 to give a benefit reading for the Yucca Mesa Improvement Association – old neighborhood activist group. I’m reading 29. I’d love it if you’d point me toward publicity possibilities. ms

Except for a few nonsensical comments afterwards, I loved the articles. Congrats Jim!

    • Thanks, Pat. …and when you can evoke such hatred from people that they seek you out, it’s all good. You’ve already won their mind.
